Complementary Split Ring Resonator Based Triple Band Microstrip Antenna for WLAN/WiMAX Applications
A new simple design of a triple-band microstrip antenna using metamaterial concept is presented in this paper. Multi-unit cell was the key of the multi resonance response that was obtained by etching two circular and one rectangular split ring resonator (SRR) unit cells in the ground plane of a conventional patch operating at 3.56 GHz. The circular unit cells are resonating at 5.6 GHz for the u...
متن کاملA Miniaturized Directional Coupler Using Complementary Split Ring Resonator and Dumbbell-Like Defected Ground Structure
A novel microstrip coupled-line directional coupler is proposed in this paper. It is based on the introduction of a complementary split ring resonator and dumbbell-like defected ground structure on the coupled lines to strongly enhance the designed backward coupling. The designed frequency band is from 1.2 to 1.5GHz. The coupler is fabricated and tested. The insertion loss is less than 3.5 dB. ...
متن کاملDual-Band Annular-Ring Microstrip Patch Antenna for Satellite Applications
A dual-band circularly polarized antenna fed by four apertures that covers the bands of GPS, Galileo, is introduced. The ARSAs designed using FR4 substrates in the L and S bands have 3-dB axial-ratio bandwidths (ARBWs) of as large as 37% and 52%, respectively, whereas the one using an RT5880 substrate in the L band, 61%. In these 3-dB axial-ratio bands, impedance matching with VSWR<=1.8 is also...
متن کاملMicrostrip Coupler with Complementary Split-Ring Resonator (CSRR)
A novel microstrip Coupler with Complementary SplitRing Resonator (CSRR) is simulated and fabricated. The CSRR structure in the grounded plane of a conventional microstrip double-line coupler, increases its even mode characteristic impedance. This results in a higher degree of coupling. The results of simulation and measurement show that the new coupler achieves a high degree of coupling (5 dB ...
متن کاملA Dual-band Split-ring Monopole Antenna for Wlan Applications
In this article, a novel dual-band microstrip monopole antenna based on split-ring elements is proposed for WLAN (2.4/5 GHz) applications. The antenna fed by a two-stage microstrip line has fairly small dimensions and provides 7.5 and 25.5% impedance bandwidth performance at the respective bands. Also, the antenna exhibits almost uniform radiation patterns at each frequency band. The measuremen...
